In the early 90’s Kevin Smith maxed out his credit cards and sold his entire comic book collection to follow his dreams, spending $27, 575 on what would become the cult classic film Clerks. The film would go out to make over $3 million dollars at the box office, and propelled Smith to Hollywood stardom. Since then, he has been a key writer on several blockbusters, produced and directed multiple other films, and opened his own comic book store in New Jersey.
