Peter Kelly was the tenth of twelve children in a family struggling financially. He grew up in the projects in Yonkers, NY, working kitchen jobs at age 12 to provide for his family when his father died. Despite no formal culinary studies, Kelly climbed the ladder and eventually opened his first restaurant, Xaviars, when he was 23-years-old. He currently runs the renowned Xaviars Restaurant Group and other successful culinary ventures.
